Longitudes:

To find the location of places, that how far east or west these places are from a given line of reference running from North Pole to the South Pole. These lines of references are called the meridians of longitude. The imaginary lines that run vertically across the surface of the earth, from the north pole to the south pole, are called lines of longitude or meridians.
